Hi all,

hope everyone and their birds has had a great summer!

Our speaker this month will be Bev Penny. This is a much requested repeat of her presentation on bird behaviour. We know you have questions, come out and get the answers!

Meetings start at 7:30pm, the first Thursday of every month except July and August at the Banbury Community Centre, 120 Banbury Road, Toronto (second floor).

All are welcome to attend, you don’t need to be a member to come check us out! Birds are welcome also.

There will be refreshments and free bird magazines.

Thursday, May 6th

Our speaker will be Mike Manley who will be speaking about Softbills. Many of these birds are very colourful and very unusual.

Thursday, June 3rd

Our speaker will be Dave Pauls, who will be speaking about Finches.

Sunday, June 6th Young Bird Show

10am – 3pm admission free

April’s speaker will be Fleming of
CC Pets talking about importing birds.

Fleming’s talk is not to be missed!

All BFBS meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome! Come on out and pet birds are welcome too! We often have a raffle with exciting prizes to be won. Plus coffee and snacks.

Please make a note on your calendars that BFBS will be hosting a Young Bird Show at the Banbury Centre on Sunday June 6th from 10am to 3pm (rain or shine!).

Any BFBS members that would like to come out to the All About Pets Show and help out at our booth (you can bring your birds), please contact Denise Antler if you haven’t already.

The March speaker will be announced soon!

February’s invited speaker, Micheal Carson, unfortunately wasn’t able to attend and Jerry Lemay stepped in to give a fascinating talk about avian diets!

The annual BFBS Xmas Social will be taking place at our usual meeting place:

The Banbury Community Center at 120 Banbury Rd.

December 3rd 7:30pm.

We will be having a pot luck dinner. Please contact Dahlijah Ramn and let her know what you will be bringing and to see what might still be needed!
