As stated in our newsletter, the September meeting took place on  the second Thursday instead of the first, due to Labour Day. A great presentation on food foraging was held and enjoyed by the many people that attended!

All other meetings from October to June 2012 will be held on the first Thursday of the month at our usual meeting place, 120 Banbury Community Center starting at 7:30pm and running to 9:30pm. We meet in the room on the second floor and all are welcome to attend (birds welcome too!). There are some refreshments and often a raffle of neat bird items!

While this IS a blog, it is not being maintained as one and will only be updated as new info about meetings (such as guest speakers) becomes available.

Thursday, June 2nd.

This month’s speaker will be Debbie Johnson from Bluebird Learning. She will discuss behaviour training for your pet parrot. The need for proper diet and health and environmental considerations. Plus behaviour reinforcement and how to apply the concepts.

All our meetings take place from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at 120 Banbury Community Centre.

It has been decided we won’t be holding a Young Bird Show this year and instead we will concentrate on our fall show.

Thursday, April 7th.

Our speaker will be Dr. Karen Regan from the Animal Hospital of High Park. Dr. Regan will do a presentation on sex and the single bird.
